Walk in Our Shoes

Print Friendly

  • Take a holiday stroll in Beverly Hills and experience our version of “walking in a winter wonderland.” Start your walking tour at Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau, 239 S. Beverly Drive.

Tip: If you’re arriving by car, a City parking garage offering two hours of free parking is located across the street. Look for the turquoise signs with a large white “P” in the center.
  • Explore the many one-of-a-kind stores and eateries along “SoBev” (South Beverly Drive) , where the locals shop and dine. Find adorable, often retro-inspired kids’ clothing options just across the street at Lola et Moi (238½ S. Beverly Dr.), and further up the block (east side of the street), treat yourself to a little taste of heaven at Italian bistro, Piccolo Paradiso (150 S. Beverly Dr.)
  • Walk north to Wilshire Blvd., turn left and continue one block to the Beverly Wilshire. People from all over the world flock to the hotel where Pretty Woman was filmed. And now during the holidays, take a peek at the glorious holiday decor inside the lobby and at the brilliant UNICEF 12,000-prism crystal snowflake floating above this iconic hotel.
  • Continue walking west and enjoy the “window dressings” at Burberry, Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus along Department Store Row.

    OR

From the Beverly Wilshire hotel, head north on Rodeo Drive..
  • Rodeo Drive sparkles all year round, but never more than during the holidays when thousands of twinkle lights illuminate nearly every surface up and down the block. This street of dreams literally glows!
  • Cross the street to Two Rodeo, and you’ll find penguins frolicking in the fountain at the base of the Spanish Steps. Climb the steps and meander along the charming cobblestone Via Rodeo, all decked out for the holidays. Of course, you’ll do a little Christmas shopping, whether you’ve got your eye on something shimmery from Damiani or shiny from Tiffany & Co., a timepiece from Breguet or a little black number from Gianfranco Ferre.
  • Need to give your tootsies a little break? Hop aboard the Beverly Hills Trolley (SE corner of Rodeo Dr. and Dayton Way at Two Rodeo) for a relaxing, 40-minute scenic tour of Beverly Hills, highlighting landmarks throughout the Golden Triangle and the beautifully manicured neighborhoods of the rich and famous. The trolley runs 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, Tuesdays through Sundays from Nov. 27 – Dec. 31. Trolley fare is $10/adult and $5/child (under 12).
  • Make it an extra “jolly” trolley ride when you join Mrs. Claus on the tour on Saturdays and Sundays, November 22 through December 20 during the 11:00 am, 12 noon and 1:00 pm tours. Has she got stories to tell! And then hop off again with Mrs. Claus at The Paley Center where Santa awaits! He’s anxious to review your wish list over a cup of hot cocoa, and he’d love to take a photo with you, too. After, head into the Paley Center screening room and relive childhood memories as you view one or more holiday television classics, including Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Frosty the Snowman and Lamb Chop’s Special Chanukah.
  • It’s about time for a little treat, don’t you think? As you exit The Paley Center, turn left and cross Little Santa Monica Blvd. looking for Crumbs Bake Shop (9465 Little Santa Monica Blvd.) just to the left. With upwards of 30 cupcake flavors, you’re sure to find one befitting the season.
  • Walk off that cupcake with a stroll through Beverly Gardens Park (Santa Monica Blvd.) – just one block north of Crumbs, a 14-block park established in 1911 and one of the loveliest botanical retreats in the city. Make sure you stop for a photo in front of the 40-foot long replica Beverly Hills sign (between Beverly and Canon Drives) before continuing east on Santa Monica Blvd. just two more blocks to Crescent Drive. Notice the former Beverly Hills Post Office as you turn right onto Crescent Drive. Built in 1933, it is an excellent example of the Italian Renaissance style of architecture. The City of Beverly Hills purchased the building and is currently overseeing its transformation to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
  • On your left, you’ll see the beautiful Beverly Hills Civic Center (Santa Monica Blvd. at Crescent Dr.) from the Post Office. The City's superb Spanish Renaissance City Hall, the police and fire departments and the breathtaking Public Library are all here. Public art in the form of sculpture and paintings is featured throughout City Hall and the Library.
  • Continue south on Crescent Drive (two short blocks to Brighton Way) and stop at the ultra-chic Crescent Hotel (403 N. Crescent Dr.) for a glass of Spiced Apple Cider, sure to warm the cockles.
  • Now that you’re all warm and tingly from the inside out, head west on Brighton Way (two blocks) to Beverly Drive. Take a left on Beverly Drive and wander into one or more of the many specialty shops along both sides of the street. Workout wear from lululemon (334 N. Beverly Dr.) will surely help to counteract the pounds that are bound to be gained this holiday season. GEARYS Beverly Hills (351 N. Beverly Dr.) is gift headquarters all year round, but especially now with stunning jewelry embellishments and sophisticated home décor and accessories to make your home sparkle. And AG Adriano Goldschmied (329 N. Beverly Dr.) is your one-stop shop for the perfect pair of blue jeans.
  • A few steps further and you’ve arrived at the stunning Montage Beverly Hills (200 block of N. Beverly Dr.). This exclusive hotel property, built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, is home to the exquisite Parq restaurant, featuring to-die-for holiday menus on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day and New Year’s Eve. Or enjoy a little down time at the holiday tea offered each afternoon in the intimate Lobby Lounge as you break from the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping.
  • One final stop at Chef Thomas Keller’s new Bouchon restaurant and wine bar (directly across the gardens area and adjacent to the Montage) rounds out this perfect stroll through the city. Choose from classic bistro menu items, small plate offerings or oysters from the raw bar, complemented by a glass of Southern California wine or a pilsner style beer.
  • Head back through the gardens area toward Beverly Drive, take a left on Beverly and you’re back on the path toward your original starting point. But no rush! Take another hour or two to peruse the exclusive shops and charming boutiques along Rodeo, Beverly and Canon Drives.

  • Please come see us again soon – we’re open year-round!

    LET US ENTERTAIN YOU!

Careful now – you just might find yourself humming along with the music as you walk along. Enjoy live musical entertainment on the cobblestone Via at Two Rodeo, Thursdays through Saturdays (4:00 – 7:00 PM) between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Let us help you get in the spirit!
